Rise Gymnastics is British Gymnastics’ progressive participation programme for recreational gymnasts across the UK. I designed a refreshed brand identity for them built around its three official phases: Discover, Explore, and Excel, each representing a stage of development.
Discover introduces preschoolers to movement through play, represented by a circle to symbolise beginnings. Explore supports school-aged gymnasts as they build confidence, expressed through a triangle that adds structure and direction. Excel is designed for advanced recreational gymnasts moving towards competition, symbolised by a star to represent achievement.
Together, these forms create a cohesive, flexible visual system, supported by bold typography and a bright colour palette that bring clarity, energy and inclusivity to the brand.
